The Cubbies sports academy

 The American School Sports Academy provides a comprehensive program designed to nurture and develop aspiring athletes.  Students in the academy receive specialized academic support to ensure they excel both in the classroom and on the field.  A rigorous and consistent training regimen forms the core of the program, honing athletes' skills and conditioning.  Furthermore, the academy crafts individualized schedules that allow athletes to compete in local, national, and even international tournaments, providing them with invaluable experience and exposure on a variety of competitive stages.

 The American School Elementary Boys basketball team etched their names in Naga City sports history by winning the 2024 Palarong Bicol championship, a feat the city hadn't accomplished in 17 years.  Dominating the competition, the team, led by captain Braedon Gupilan, point guard Isiah Jackson, and power forward Jace De Vance, bulldozed their way to the crown, boasting an impressive average winning margin of 37 points.  Their victory marks a significant resurgence for American School  basketball and a testament to the team's exceptional talent and teamwork.

Maristella Torrecampo continues to dominate the Philippine tennis scene, maintaining her number 1 ranking in her age group. Her talent has taken her to international tournaments in Sri Lanka, Thailand, Kazakhstan, and Bahrain, representing the Philippines with pride. Adding to her impressive achievements, Maristella won a silver medal at the 2024 Palarong Pambansa held in Cebu.  Meanwhile, the Naga City tennis scene is also celebrating success, with the boys and girls teams securing the overall championship title at the 2024 Naga City Meet.  Adding to the Cubbies' accomplishments, Seth Torrecampo, the defending City Champion also won the 18 and Under 2024 Bicol Open.

 The Track and Field program has gained a powerful new force with the addition of third-grader Magayon Novelo.  This exceptional young athlete has already proven her mettle by winning several 5K and 3K open runs against adult competitors.  Magayon's dominance extends to the district level, where she is the champion in the 1500m, 800m, and 200m races.  She now sets her sights on the City meet, where she hopes to qualify for the Bicol Meet for the first time, a remarkable achievement for a third-grader.

 The table tennis team has enjoyed a remarkable period of success in recent years.  Led by perennial contenders and medalists Henley Abalos, Bernice Abalos, Sofie San Buenaventura, and Joshua Silvestre the Cubbies have consistently been a force to reckon with, always vying for top honors and a collection of medals.  Their dedication and skill have not only brought home numerous victories but also inspired younger players to join the ranks, ensuring a bright future for the table tennis program.  With their continued commitment, the team looks set to maintain its winning streak for years to come.

 American School's chess program is a thriving grassroots initiative, cultivating a love for the game and fostering critical thinking skills in its students.  Spearheaded by team captain Francis De Vera, a 2024 Regional Palarong Bicol Qualifier, the program introduces chess to all primary students.  This comprehensive approach aims to spark an interest in chess from an early age, nurturing young minds and developing their strategic thinking abilities while simultaneously building a strong foundation for future chess champions.
